Blog #5

My first reaction about this clip is, yes people can get really lazy and depend on technology more than needed. It’s nice to enjoy convince but not to the point where neglect our health and depend on machines for our needs. I didn't like how they have shakes for meals, I like to enjoy chewing my food not drink it. Also, how fast they can change was awesome, I wouldn't mind being able to change that fast either.  What resonates within me the most is how people carry a conversation with each other, Like they were “face timing” with each other as a way of communication. I mean, we currently do that now but, it’s more like texting each other from a different room to ask a quick question about simple things. Another thing that stuck in my mind about this clip is how there are no humans working. Everything is done with robots and machines. In our current society there is a great demand for machine labor such as lifting heavyweights for construction and other physically demanding jobs. If it comes to the point where all a person had to do was to find out what they wanted to do that day, then our health is in jeopardy. As it shows in this clip how they will look like balloons if our health is neglected. What I found concerning is this movie clip is the obesity of the characters, not because being overweight isn't attractive or acceptable. But the impression I received from it is that they didn't notice or even care about any difference in their appearance. Speaking of them being overweight it brings me to think about the lack of exercise in their lives, they don’t even walk to a restaurant to have lunch.

  1. Paula--Your 2 new entries are pretty good. You have some good detail and info. You are a bit brief though. Work on expanding and developing more. Work on visual appeal more, and keep working to create significance for your audience. Missing Entry #3 and #4.
